long : 17 - 19 cm
Description : Plumage fortement strié, léger sourcil, bec en coin.

Se tient surtout dans les sous-bois, en solitaire ou en couple.

Sous-espèces *selon : Clements 2019 & IOC 11.1 :
S. g. guttulata : montagnes du nord du Venezuela (Yaracuy jusqu'au Distrito Federal) ;
S. g. pallida : montagnes du nord-est du Venezuela (Anzoátegui, Sucre et nord du Monagas).

Habitat : Forêt tropicale et subtropicale humide de montagne.

Alimentation : Surtout arthropodes. Suit parfois les fourmis.
