Répartition : Sud du Chili (Valdivia) et Argentine voisine vers le sud jusqu'en Terre de Feu.

Habitat : En nidification et hors nidification : forêt tempérée, tropicale et subtropicale humide de plaine ou de montagne ; zones de forêts tropicales et subtropicales fortement dégradées.
